Food in medieval cities has stood the test of time and Udaipur is no exception. Dal baati churma, a traditional Rajasthani staple, is a must-have although few restaurants in the 'touristy' part of town appear to offer it. This mandates a visit to places frequented by the locals, far from the area around the palace. Here's what I found-
